Intent: To call for a fairer legislative text on the UWWTD which should include other sectors in line with the EU Polluter Pays Principal. ::To request a delay in the signing off on the Directive until a thorough assessment by the legal service of the EU Council is conducted, and an impact assessment of the implementation of an EPR scheme for quaternary treatment on the accessibility and affordability of medicines is published.::To request that the Irish Government considers adopting a “Council Statement” during ratification process of the Directive at the EU Council that declares the need to implement a fair directive in accordance with the EU polluter pays principle and to joining with the majority of other EU members states that are doing so.
