Intent: I sought to ensure that the JOC on environment and climate carried out its functions as specified under sec.14A of the Climate Action and Low Carbon Development Act 2021 (as amended). The purpose of the committee's reporting is to identify gaps to achieving the 2030 climate targets and make recommendations to the relevant ministers about additional measures/ policies required so that Ireland fulfils its obligations under national and EU climate law.
