A virtual meeting of the CCMA to discuss the creation of the national volunteer reserve corps and gain funding commitments from local authorities for its creation.A presentation was made to the Rural Development, Community, Tourism, Culture and Heritage Committee for that purpose. - Virtual MeetingA virtual meeting with the minister to discuss a broad range of issues and opportunities on going at present with the volunteering sector. Intent: Our President had a series of meetings with Local Authorities as part of his presidential term. The aim was to meet primarily engineers, many of them members, working in the Authorities to hear their views. (Our President worked as a Local Authority Engineer himself). In some instances, a CEO or Director of Services of the Local Authority was present. (Note that Engineers Ireland has a Local Government Division as part of it's structure of 11 Divisions).
