Intent: There needs to be more suport for Councils to embrace the programmes and move forward on the issues of dereliction and vacancy. Very often too many delays in establishing ownership and also reluctance to use the CPO process::CSO's (Compulsory Sale Orders) may be better than CPO's. They do not have a cost and resource burden on the LA and could perhaps be used to move vacant properties forward in the open market and back to use
Intent: The funding was approved months ago for Carlow 2040 and progress is moving at a very slow pace, we need more pressure on the Department and Council to move this project forward now.::The department seems to be particularly slow, partially due to focus on housing and other projects being left to fall behind, it is important that we see progress on projects
