Intent: That Waterford City & County Council notes:1. That Bord Bia's mission is to bring Ireland's outstanding food, drink and horticulture to the world, thereby enabling growth and sustainability for producers.2. The importance of Irish food and drink exports to the Irish economy.3. The importance of Ireland's international reputation as a producer of high-quality food.4. That the Irish food and drinks industry is dependent on Irish farmers as the primary producers; and::the animal health and welfare standards that Irish farmers must adhere to, in particular the standards and conditions contained within Bord Bia's sustainable Quality Assurance Scheme.This council notes with serious concern recent events and feels that there is no choice but ask the Chair of Bord Bia, to resign immediately in order to restore public confidence.::In the event that he fails to do so, this Council further calls on the Government and the Minister for Agriculture, Food, and the Marine to intervene without delay an
