The National Advocacy Service for People with Disabilities

Intent: To increase awareness of our service and what we do, and to inform the policy teams of our resourcing issue with a view to putting this issue on the political agenda. Our ultimate goal is to increase the funding of our service.

Details: Met with the policy teams within each political party to discuss the resourcing issue of our service - the National Advocacy Service for People with Disabilities.

I emailed the Policy teams within each political party - Fine Fail, Fine Gael, Social Democrats, Labour and Sinn Fein to arrange a meeting with them to discuss our service, what we do, and to inform them of the resourcing issue within our service. I also emailed Senator Tom Clonan requesting a meeting re same. - EmailMy colleague and I, NAS National Manager Joanne Condon, met with the policy officers/advisors/teams of the following political parties: Sinn Fein, Fine Fail, Fine Gael, Labour, Social Democrats.
