Intent: A public lecture at NUI Galway (and a meeting) with civil engineer, Nicole Lazarus. Her lecture presented the lessons learnt in implementing the One Planet Living principles in the development of NW Bicester, the UK’s first eco-town. Nicole is Bioregional's Oxfordshire Programme Manager.::Given the National Planning Framework's goal of growing the population of the Northern and Western Region of Ireland by between 160,000 and 180,000 people, and Galway City up to 45,000, by 2040, the West Region felt that the information exchange would be most useful for locally elected representatives and local authority key staff.

Intent: To have a new co-ordinaotr instated without delay, to develop a programme of work that would include remedial action to achieve the objectives of the Green Leaf project. Ultimately to ensure the project is of lasting benefit to Galway City.
