Methods: After a YEP steering group meeting in November that Steve Fahy , Athy Youth Project Team Leader attended, Steve met with Mark Wall briefly in the corridor. Steve asked him if the Municipal District would meet with the local Comhairle na nOg youth group around funding for the Athy Youth Cafe. The Comhairle group emailed the Councillors to request a meeting.The Cathaoirleach Aoife Breslin replied and arranged a meeting in the project with herself and Mark Wall (although all Councillors were invited). This meeting took place on the 13th of December. We discussed the need for the financial support for the cafe, which the Councillors agreed was a good idea and arranged to present to the full Municipal District . Invitation was subsequently received to present at their 21st January meeting . - Meeting, Tom Dunne, KYS CEO had a meeting with Mary Behan followed by a phone call with Padraig McEvoy, Kildare County Council on the 11th September in relation to renewal of funding from the Council for a part-time. time youth worker in Prosperous, which had been funded for 2018. Further contact with Sonya Kavanagh briefly regarding same on 19th September. Outcome was confirmation of renewal of said funding for 2019. - Meeting, Letter sent by Tom Dunne KYS CEO on behalf of the KYS Board to Peter Minnock, Kildare County Council expressing interest in the library building in Naas on October 8th, followed by a phone conversation on November 19th. The library is planned to be relocated to a new location. No decisions have been made as to the potential future use of the building. KYS have been requested to outline what their plan would be for the building as and when it becomes available. - Letter
