Intent: The Councillors must work as a collective to help reverse the current situation in Carlow town. The Chamber have established the Love Carlow Task force and the inclusion and involvement of all stakeholders is vital. The Cllrs must be made aware of what is happening and they must focus on working to ensure the correct resources are allocated to deal with the issues, budgetary challenges must be delivered and suggestions and involvement is imperative.
Details: Carlow Chamber have serious concerns on the direction of Carlow Town and following public meetings many areas need to be addressed. Presentation of the public realm, derelict buildings/vacant units, attracting business are some of the areas under discussion and that need attention.
