We are all only too aware of the appalling crisis in housing provision and fully support every effort made to address this situation. However, using the housing crisis as a means to minimise planning provision for cultural infrastructure, community, neighbourhood and city development, is too simplistic. These issues are interconnected, more homes means more communities, new neighbourhoods, more citizens living in proximity.
