Details: Gordon Hill of Crosscare and colleagues from other organisations met with Minister Norma Foley to discuss a review of care system, lack of capital funding to allowing voluntary sector to respond in crisis, current funding model meaning costs not covered for children in state care.
Intent: Request for Minister for CDE to give attention to UNCRPD section of collaborative letter previously sent to this office (regarding challenges faced by persons with disabilities living in Direct Provision)
Details: Wrote to Office of Minister for Children, Disability and Equality (CDE) to direct attention to ongoing lack of focus on disability issues for children and adults living in Direct Provision
Intent: The intended result was to highlight the significant challenges and barriers faced by persons with disabilities in IPAS accommodation and seek action on proposed recommendations to address these issues.
Details: In October 2025, JRS Ireland was a joint signatory on a civil society letter raising concerns regarding persons with disabilities living in the IPAS accommodation system.
Intent: To seek meetings with Government Representatives to discuss subject contained in the Pre Budget Submission which includes funding issues. Meetings held with TD's & Senators regarding our Pre Budget Submission

Intent: To draw attention to the large numbers of childminders not engaging with the proposed system. Childminding Ireland's most recent survey, Childminding in Ireland 2025, shows 76% of respondents intend to stop childminding or are undecided.
Details: The new childminding system, and the concerns of childminders.
Intent: Engagement with Oireachtas members and Government Ministers in advance of Budget 2026 on the following national and regional priorities:Housing delivery and infrastructure investment.Skills development and training pathways to support enterprise.Energy and grid capacity, including renewables integration.Measures to support competitiveness for FDI and indigenous business.
