Intent: The new social welfare payment, Pandemic Unemployment Payment of €350, which is available to self-employed and employees who have lost their job due to the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic is a very welcomed income support for farm families at this time.::Farmers should be treated the same way as other self-employed individuals in the scheme.::In cases where it is not practical for individual farmers to trade as normal during this emergency, they should be entitled to this Pandemic Unemployment Payment.
