We sent emails to the TDs selected below to to highlight the issue and to inform them we had writtent to Richard Bruton and we sent them a copy of our Future Vision document which outlines the vision for the future of liquid fuel distribution and highlights the role liquid fuel can play as part of Ireland’s diverse future energy mix and in order to meet the Government’s National Energy and Climate Plan (NECP). - EmailWe sent letters to Irish Minister for Communications, Climate Action and the Environment Richard Bruton. UKIFDA requested a meeting to discuss how the association can work with the Government to help find ways to reduce Ireland’s carbon footprint - LetterWe telephoned TDs and Minister's to try and get a meeting to explain why we want the Government to consider Liquid fuels as a part of the solution for the future of off-grid heating in Ireland, be that as a bio liquid or efuel - Phone call

Intent: The FPS and its members feel strongly that oil and - more long-term – a liquid efuel and/or bio fuel, can be part of the phased solution and the association has been working closely with the European Confederation of Fuel Distributors (ECFD), boiler manufacturers and other trade associations to promote the development of a liquid bio fuel. The FPS believes the Government should look at a tiered approach to achieving the 2050 carbon reduction ,setting a pathway for home heating carbon reduction
