Intent: To highlight that the Irish pigmeat sector is currently under extreme pressure with the lack of suitable labour both on-farm and in the processing side of the industry.::To highlight that the lack of available labour is not unique to the pigmeat sector. Significant shortages of suitable labour also exist in other farming sectors, primarily on horticulture and dairy farms.
