Intent: A public lecture at NUI Galway (and a meeting) with civil engineer, Nicole Lazarus. Her lecture presented the lessons learnt in implementing the One Planet Living principles in the development of NW Bicester, the UK’s first eco-town. Nicole is Bioregional's Oxfordshire Programme Manager.::Given the National Planning Framework's goal of growing the population of the Northern and Western Region of Ireland by between 160,000 and 180,000 people, and Galway City up to 45,000, by 2040, the West Region felt that the information exchange would be most useful for locally elected representatives and local authority key staff.

Intent: To present an overview of Galway Wind Park Community Fund Proposals.::The purpose of the event was to get feedback from the community on proposals for the structure of the fund.
