Intent: Presentation to outline SSE’s ambitions to fully develop Arklow Bank Wind Park and the policy measures needed to enable the development, including design of grid connections regime and Renewable Electricity Support Scheme. SSE outlined how the expansion of the offshore wind energy sector represents a new and significant economic opportunity for County Wicklow, including the potential jobs and community benefit that Arklow Bank can bring to the region.

Intent: That landowners and IFA are consulted in advance of route selection and publication of a defined route corridor.::That all efforts must be made to secure voluntary agreements with landowners. There should be no threat of the compulsory acquisition of land.::That the integrity of farm holdings is protected by limiting the impact of a proposed greenway on individual farms.
