Intent: To call for more meaningful action from Government as dog attacks on livestock continue.::To highlight that farmers are facing an uphill battle as dog attacks on livestock escalate following further attacks on the Dublin/Wicklow border in recent days.::To highlight that the frequency and severity of dog attacks on livestock has reached unprecedented levels, causing immense distress and financial losses for the effected farmers.::To highlight that these attacks are escalating and are compounded by the inability of dog wardens and shelters to accommodate the increasing number of stray, unwanted and abandoned dogs across the country.::To call on both Minister's with responsibility in this area to ensure there is adequate facilities in place for these dogs and those belonging to owners who refuse to accept their responsibilities as dog owners.::To highlight that the level of sanctions that are been applied do not reflect the savagery and trauma these uncontrolled dogs are causing.::To high

Intent: To highlight that Irish and European farmers have continually voiced their opposition to any conclusion of the Mercosur Trade Agreement which has the potential to decimate the Irish and European beef and poultry sectors. Despite this, the European Commission continues to press for a conclusion to negotiations while ignoring the concerns of farmers. The Commission seems intent on sacrificing European farmers in order to secure agreement on this deeply flawed trade deal.::To emphasise that the position of Irish farmers has remained consistent in complete opposition to the proposed deal. The core reasons for this are as follows::1. Irish and EU beef and poultry sectors will be decimated as a result of increased imports of tariff beef and poultry from countries who have a competitive advantage due to the lower production regulations and standards::2. The proposed addendum reflecting measures for implementation of environmental law does not provide sufficiently robust safeguards for Euro

Intent: To voice farmers' anger and frustration at the ever-increasing administrative burden being place on them which has had a major impact on farm family incomes.::To highlight the following key issues that are contributing to growing frustration and anger with the political system::1. The transformation of CAP away from supporting food production towards actually reducing farm output. CAP funding is being redirected to environmental schemes – the EU is effectively implementing new environmental regulations such as the “eco-schemes” on the cheap by redirecting existing funding instead of allocating additional funds.::2. The failure of the EU to properly compensate farmers under CAP. In 2014, Ireland received €1.16bn in Pillar one funding from EU – that figure is effectively the same today, 10 years on, despite huge inflation in farmers' cost of production in the interim. Farmers are being asked to do much more to receive a lot less funds in real terms.::3. The proposed Mercusor trade deal b
